Tomorrow at Calvary Chapel Waterford - Time is Short

Jun 6, 2026    Tom Zimbelman

This Sunday at Calvary Chapel Waterford, we'll continue our study through 1 Corinthians as Paul addresses singleness, marriage, widows, and those considering marriage. At first glance, the passage seems focused on relationship status, but Paul's primary concern is much deeper: faithfulness to Christ in whatever circumstance God has placed you.

Paul reminds us that the pressures, pursuits, and concerns of this world are temporary. Time is short. The form of this world is passing away. Whether married or single, rejoicing or grieving, gaining or losing, believers are called to live with an eternal perspective and an undivided devotion to Christ.

We'll examine Paul's counsel regarding marriage, his warning against becoming consumed by temporary concerns, and his call to serve the Lord without distraction. Most importantly, we'll consider what it means to hold loosely to this world while holding tightly to Jesus. Join us this Sunday as we discover how eternal priorities transform everyday decisions.
